Our Time To Stand
"These are the times that try men's souls..." -- Thomas Paine

Thank You For Standing With Us!

To all those who've taken action and spread the word about sound money and financial reform: Thank You!

Does Louisiana Lead the Way?

Louisiana arguably leads the nation in the Liberty / Sound Money / Tea Party movement, thanks in a large part to the collective effort of people like you. This is no exaggeration, as you can see from recent developments.

Thank You U.S. Senator Vitter

First, six of Louisiana's seven Representatives in the House are co-sponsors of H.R.1207, Ron Paul's bill to audit the Federal Reserve. (Actually H.R.1207 is a bill to legalize the auditing of the Federal Reserve. More on that later.) On the Senate side, Louisiana's David Vitter is one of three co-sponsors of S.604, the Senate version of H.R.1207.

Thank You Louisiana State Senator Crowe

With little fanfare, on the next-to-last day of the session just finished, the Louisiana House passed Senator A.G. Crowe's resolution reasserting our state sovereignty under the Tenth Amendment to the U.S. Constitution (yes, there still is a U.S. Constitution). The Senate approved it several weeks ago, 32-0! The vote in the House was also overwhelming - we won in a landslide.

Special Thanks to Some Patriots

We'd like to recognise the following people for furthering the twin causes of Liberty and Sound Money.

Michele Gaudin

Michele is a member of the Orleans Parish Republican Executive Committee. Several weeks ago, before the Louisiana Senate voted on Senator Crowe's resolution, Michele successfully got it on the agenda at a meeting of OPREC members, who gave the resolution their unanimous endorsement. You can bet that got their attention in Baton Rouge!

Jeff Crouere

Host of the radio talk show Ringside: Politics With a Punch on WGSO 990AM Monday through Friday from 7:00 to 11:00 a.m., and the cable television show Ringside Politics on WLAE-TV. Jeff had Senator Crowe on both programs to discuss the state-sovereignty bill.

Gary King

Host of Patriot Radio on WGSO 990AM Wednesdays at 4:00 p.m. For several weeks in a row, Gary constantly updated his listeners about H.R.1207 and S.604 and encouraged them to call our Senators and Representatives.

All of You

You lit up the phone lines to our Congressmen and Senators about H.R.1207 and S.604. Remember, it's no coincidence that Louisiana is leading the way. What we're doing is working!

Action Alert

Okay, enough self-congratulation and back to work already!

We need to focus our attention on Senator Mary Landrieu and Congressman Charlie Melancon.

They are only two in Washington from Louisiana who are not co-sponsors of H.R.1207 or S.604. Here is the contact information for their Washington offices:
